![]() The donkey talks now as he floats away, saying, "You might have seen a house fly, maybe even a super fly, but I bet you aint never seen a donkey fly!" (copying the crows in "Dumbo"). As she struggles with the knights, she kicks the lantern holding Tinker Bell, and it flies into the air, landing on the donkey and spilling pixie dust on him. The donkey's owner (voiced by Kathleen Freeman) can't get him to talk when asked by the knights, so they drag her away. The Captain of the Guards (voiced by Jim Cummings) gives Gepetto (voiced by Chris Miller) five shillings for the "possessed toy". A talking donkey (voiced by Eddie Murphy) is next in line after Pinocchio (voiced by Cody Cameron). In the forest, various fairy tale creatures are being loaded into wagons for the rewards: The Seven Dwarfs, a witch, an elf, Pinocchio, The Three Bears, Tinker Bell, etc. ![]() He tosses it back on the ground and walks away. The ogre sees a poster on the ground and picks it up: "WANTED. He frightens them by telling them what he could do to them, then he roars and they all flee in fear. The ogre hears them, and sneaks up behind them. The men finally arrive at the ogre's house at night. He burps to light his fireplace, swallows the fish, and then relaxes in his easy chair. They grab pitchforks and torches and head for his place. Men burst out of a tavern in the town and plan to capture the ogre for a reward. After he gets dressed, he gets a giant slug out of a hollow log (for his dinner). Some dead fish float up, and he grabs one. He smiles into the mirror (but it cracks as in "The Munsters"). He brushes his teeth (using a caterpillar's guts as toothpaste). He undresses and takes a (mud) shower outside. He sees his house, built into the bottom of a large tree stump, and breathes a happy sigh. "What a load of." The door slams open, revealing the man, a green ogre. "Like that's ever gonna happen." Cut to an outhouse exterior. She waited in the dragon's keep in the highest room of the tallest tower for her true love and true love's first kiss." (laughing) A green hand rips the page out of the book. Many brave knights had attempted to free her from this dreadful prison but none prevailed. She was locked away in a castle guarded by a terrible fire-breathing dragon. But she had an enchantment upon her of a fearful sort which could only be broken by love's first kiss. A Scottish man (voiced by Mike Myers) reads a fairy tale from a book: "Once upon a time there was a lovely princess.His mind is set on making things look nice, and warding off his own boredom with staging ridiculous musical numbers and enacting cruel statutes, intentionally designed for the suffering of many living things.The synopsis below may give away important plot points. Lord Farquaad’s set of values doesn’t include friendship and good will. His appointed rescuers turn out to be his greatest obstacle in getting what he wants. Which is more difficult than it may seem-when you throw a determined ogre (Shrek) and a chatty donkey (Donkey) into the mix. But things might change before the wedding bells chime and they both declare, “I do.”Ĭhallenge… becoming the true King of Duloc. Upon her rescue, Fiona is prepared to make this immediate commitment, as it is all she has ever been taught. He plans to have Princess Fiona rescued and marry her immediately, which will cement his kingdom. Relationship Status… single, but hopefully not for long. If he’s not in his torture chamber cross-examining a gingerbread cookie about the mysterious Muffin Man, Farquaad is reclining in his bed chamber, where his magic mirror keeps him entertained. Interests… torture, greed, fancy clothes, and fancy music. That’s very bad news form the swamp’s primary tenant, an ogre named Shrek. Rewards are given out for turning creatures in, animals are evicted from their homes, and all of these victims are dumped in a swamp in the middle of the forest. When he decides to banish all magical fairy tale creatures, a near-genocide erupts. Given several promising choices, Farquaad decides on Princess Fiona, who is locked away in a dragon’s keep and requires a hero to rescue her and give her “true love’s first kiss.” Lord Farquaad, a cowardly man himself, has a competition to find a champion to go rescue her on his behalf. He’s now in want of a wife, and he employs a magic mirror on the wall to find him the fairest princess of them all. Living… in Duloc, the kingdom he rules over.
